squidback turns your smartphone in a feedback (Larsen Effect) generator, by activating its microphone and speaker at the same time.
Sound is captured from the microphone and gets amplified through the speaker, travelling and bouncing through the room in any way it can before being captured by the microphone and amplified again.
This loop takes a certain time and thus creates a frequency that can be heard as a pitch.
Squidback then filters these frequencies to create room for more of them to appear.
While the app doesnt provide you any control interface, the generative process can be affected by moving the device in different positions and proximity to different objects and architectures.
Contemplate and explore.
